Impact
Transforming Lives, Empowering Communities
At the British Kashmiri Charitable Foundation (BKCF), we are committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. Since our inception, we have tirelessly worked to support vulnerable individuals and communities in Kashmir, focusing on education, health, and essential relief. Our vision is to create a more equitable future for the people of Kashmir by providing direct aid and fostering long-term development.
Our Key Achievements
2024 – Present
Dialysis Centre in Baramulla
We successfully established a dialysis centre in Baramulla, delivering free, life-saving treatment to patients in an area that previously had no access to dialysis services.
2017 – Present
Cancer Drug Fund
We support patients requiring life-saving treatments within and outside Kashmir, including transplants, chemotherapy, and access to costly anti-cancer drugs. We have also provided essential medical equipment to hospitals in Srinagar for critical care cases.
2020 – 2022
COVID-19 Response
We raised funds to deliver COVID-19 care kits, medicines, oxygen support, and ventilators across Kashmir. We also supported students and distributed food packs to vulnerable families during lockdown.
2016 – Present
Widows & Single Mothers
We continue to support single mothers, particularly widows, by providing financial assistance that helps them build more secure and stable lives for themselves and their families.
2018 – Present
Medical Aid & Rehabilitation
In collaboration with Shafaqat Medical Centre in Srinagar, we continue to support children and adults with disabilities by helping them access critical medical care and rehabilitation services.

Education Aid
We continue to support students from financially vulnerable backgrounds, enabling them to pursue higher education and professional qualifications despite economic hardship.

Orphan Sponsorship
Through our partnership with CHINAR Kashmir’s remote sponsorship programme, we continue to support orphans by covering their essential needs, including education, clothing, and general welfare.
In addition, we independently support vulnerable children to ensure they have access to the care, stability, and opportunities they need to build a brighter future.

Exciting Future Projects
We are excited to announce our upcoming projects, designed to provide essential healthcare services in underserved areas of Kashmir:
Kashmir Ambulance & VMS Hospital Support
We support the Kashmir Ambulance Project and VMS Children’s Hospital in Srinagar, contributing to hospital development and life-saving equipment. We also sponsor children requiring critical heart surgeries across India.
Rehabilitation & Palliative Care Center
In collaboration with local partners, we will establish a center in Baramulla to provide physical rehabilitation and palliative care for those with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
Intensive Care Unit in Sopore
We aim to build a state-of-the-art ICU in Sopore, complete with emergency ambulance support to improve urgent medical care access in the region.
Collaborative Efforts
We are proud to be working with global partners, including the US-based Kashmir Charity, to raise funds for vital initiatives such as the emergency ambulance project in Srinagar. These collaborations allow us to amplify our impact and deliver much-needed services to the people of Kashmir.
